Description Jeff McAffer CLA 2007-06-22 21:03:08 EDT
It looks in many cases like the sashes are about one pixel wide. Often you get the mouse lined up so the cursor changes and then press the button and find that you have missed the sash. In some cases you have moved the mouse just a touch but I experimented and believe that at least some of the time the hot area for cursor change and the actual location of the sash are not lining up.

You'll need some steps in Eclipse that shows me. I just tried it and when the cursor changes, I can drag.

The Sash between eclipse views is 3 pixels wide. In comparison, the Sash in Windows File Explorer is 6 pixels wide. I have an existing request open for this workvench issue.

Eclipse can set the width/height to whatever it wants (but we should consider increasing it). If we are showing the cursor, but the user can't drag. That's clearly a bug.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Clearly this is an issue that will not ever be fixed and I don't think it's broken in the first place so I'll take the liberty of resolving this as wontfix.

I only notice this because I was opening a bug for the simple mode of the installer where the resize hot zone really is only one pixel, which is painful.
