Enhance the preferences so that one can download the or all vo-cards from CIC:
https://cic.gridops.org/index.php?section=vo&page=download_vodata

The download page returns pseudo xml, that could help the geclipse user to select his VO and have the parameters for geclipse prefilled already.

I fully agree and this is a always postponed feature we should implement soon!

For sure this is a killer feature we should implement and in fact we were in contact with CIC in order to improve the format of these cards. The only problem I can see at the moment is that the information is only available via https and the user has to interact in the browser to enter his master passphrase for his certificate. I currently don't see an easy solution how we could implement this programmatically. So I will evaluate this for our next milestone. Any suggestions how we could come around the https stuff are welcome.
