Currently, duplicate detection is provided on the new bug editor. It could also be helpful on the bug editor so that when one is viewing a bug that has been submitted (but for which duplicates may not have been searched for), it would be possible to invoke the searches.

Is there interest? If so, I think this can get done quickly.

It would be *great* to have this in 2.0 if it can be contributed.  Related bugs are: bug 173810, bug 156062 and bug 164230.
