Version: 3.3.0 Build id: I20070517-1700 Eclipse at RC1 level Opened this bug rather than re-opening bug 182549. As advised here: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/stp-dev/msg00675.html using http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/site.xml to install STP features. I get a 404 not found for the b2j JAR (to be attached details). (note that using the Europa Discovery Site, I currently only get the 0.4.0 version) In the to be attached screen shot, please also note: 1 - the bad visual effect of unadapted versionning 2 - the "empty" categories below STP Update Site (would expect something like SOA Development Tools) --> still unable to get the SOA Tools up and running

(In reply to comment #2) The Europa update site (the main release one) contains 0.4.0 because that's what the STP project supplied for Europa RC1. The Europa team (collectively) is working on RC2 this week. The Europa staging/test update site contains 0.5.0 - that will be rolled to the main Europa release site on June 7th as per the schedule: http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Europa_Simultaneous_Release#Milestones_and_Release_Candidates

The attached log file does not appear to reference B2J at all - instead it gives a 404 for an "org.eclipse.stp.core" jar: Server returned HTTP response code: "404 Not Found" for URL: http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/0.5.0/features/org.eclipse.stp.core_0.5.0.200705300907--7I--E77Y7QI77g7Y.jar. I have contacted Oisin to try and clarify the issue further
I'm looking at the site.xml as the culprit here - I think that some of the paths might be incorrect, or possibly that there is an issue with the update manager.
There is some confusion here, because there are *two* update sites being maintained for STP. One is the 'usual' update site (mentioned in the first comment), which has some issues upon which this bug report based. The second is a 'special' area for the Europa discovery process, which elides the SDKs that are available in the 'usual' site. Note that there seems to be an issue with the 'special' update site too - the site.xml looks clean, but the update manager only shows 4 features. I'm looking into both sets of issues now. (In reply to comment #8) OK then. Managed to install the SOA Dev Tools. (There might be the same confusion for other) Please close this bug as soon as SOA Dev Tools will become installable from the Update site. Thanks for the time spent.
*the stp europa update site works fine. this has been confirmed by Oisin http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/europa * fixed the stp main update site problem by (http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates): -- modified a typo error for stp.core feature path -- changed the update site dir structure to fix the HTTP404 error
