Description Chris Gross CLA 2007-05-30 11:19:12 EDT
We need the ability to replace the save dialogs with our own custom branded dialogs. After initial investigation, it appears that the changes could be limited to just SaveablesList.

Potentially this could be combined with the presentation extension point.

Investigate post-3.3.

EPL satisfying patch - not really useful

We made some quick changes to workbench to support custom save dialogs. I don't really expect this to be a common request so we just did it ourselves.

I'm contributing this patch to fulfill our responsibilities under the EPL but I don't expect the patch to be of any real use.

Thanks Chris. I'll take a look at the patch in an case...;-)...

Just did and I like the approach; I'll mark this as 4.0 for now so that we can look at (a perhaps more general) approach there. I'm thinking that if we do it we should be able to replace -any- 'standard' dialog and, perhaps, allow new ones (ColorChooser anyone...;-).

Removing outdated target milestone.

The PresentationAPI has been deprecated with the Eclipse 4.x release and it has been replaced with the CSS engine. I therefore close this bugs as WONTFIX. In case your bug report is still valid for the Eclipse 4.4 release, please open a new bug report for it.
