Build ID: M20070212-1330 Steps To Reproduce: Just upgraded Mylar and installed some Eclipse patches and this started happening. It happens whenever I start Eclipse or Flex Builder 2 (Mac OS X Intel). I am additionally getting an internal error while trying to submit this bug within Eclipse/Flex Builder. More information: Just upgraded Mylar Task extension. I am getting this error in FlexBuilder 2 and Eclipse. -- Error Log -- Date: Fri May 18 15:15:07 PDT 2007 Message: Mylar Java plug-in initialization failed Severity: Error Plugin ID: org.eclipse.mylar Stack Trace: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.eclipse.mylar.context.core.ContextCorePlugin.getContextManager()Lorg/eclipse/mylar/internal/context/core/MylarContextManager; at org.eclipse.mylar.internal.java.MylarJavaPlugin$1.run(MylarJavaPlugin.java:82) at org.eclipse.swt.widgets.RunnableLock.run(RunnableLock.java:35) at org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Synchronizer.runAsyncMessages(Synchronizer.java:123) at org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Display.runAsyncMessages(Display.java:3181) at org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Display.readAndDispatch(Display.java:2944) at org.eclipse.ui.internal.Workbench.runEventLoop(Workbench.java:1930) at org.eclipse.ui.internal.Workbench.runUI(Workbench.java:1894) at org.eclipse.ui.internal.Workbench.createAndRunWorkbench(Workbench.java:422) at org.eclipse.ui.PlatformUI.createAndRunWorkbench(PlatformUI.java:149) at org.eclipse.ui.internal.ide.IDEApplication.run(IDEApplication.java:95) at org.eclipse.core.internal.runtime.PlatformActivator$1.run(PlatformActivator.java:78) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.internal.adaptor.EclipseAppLauncher.runApplication(EclipseAppLauncher.java:92) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.internal.adaptor.EclipseAppLauncher.start(EclipseAppLauncher.java:68) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.run(EclipseStarter.java:400) at org.eclipse.core.runtime.adaptor.EclipseStarter.run(EclipseStarter.java:177) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:585) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.invokeFramework(Main.java:336) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.basicRun(Main.java:280) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.run(Main.java:977) at org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main.main(Main.java:952)

Hmmm, sorry about the duplicates, I guess the mylar integration did create the tasks. After more testing I've found that the initial version that I had installed is the ones that ends in -1300. If I remove all of my mylar plugins/features and reinstall the versions I find are the -1300 ones. They work fine. If I then try to upgrade my extensions I get a -1800 version of Mylar Task List. Once this is installed I get the above error.
I just tested with Eclipse 3.3 RC1 and this problem does not happen. Looks like the -1800 Mylar Task List only works with Eclipse 3.3+, not with 3.2. (Hence it will also not work with Flex Builder 2 for Mac OS X as that is based on Eclipse 3.2).
For Eclipse versions < 3.3 RC1 and Mylar versions < 2.0M3 you always need to run "Search for new features to install" as discussed on the download page. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 132450 ***
