Description Johannes Hahn CLA 2007-05-16 04:07:18 EDT
After installing Mylar using the eclipse Update Manager not all of the features are available. Task list view and task repository work fine, but active folding / content assist is not available and "focus on active task" button has no impact on shown elements.
Multiple searches for new features and uninstall/reinstall did not fix the problem.

Eclipse 3.2.2 (with MyEclise 5.1.1) (JRE 1.5)
Mylar 2.0.0
Subclipse 1.2.0 (with Mylar Integration 1.0.1)

Are there any errors in the Error Log view? Which exact Mylar version do you have installed?
Comment 2 Johannes Hahn CLA 2007-05-21 03:34:34 EDT
There are no errors in the log.
The Mylar version is 2.0.0.v20070514-1800

This still looks like a partial update problem to me. Please try uninstalling all Mylar features:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_FAQ#Uninstall_troubleshooting

Then update to Mylar 2.0M3 making sure to use "Search for new features to install":

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_FAQ#Installation_Troubleshooting

If that does not work please reopen this bug.

Uninstalling and updating from new did not help but I now I encountered the problem:

MyEclipse does not contain the Eclipse PDE by default, and Mylar seems to have a dependency to the PDE. After installing the Eclipse PDE everything now works fine!

Perhaps this is an issue for the Mylar FAQ because this dependency was not obvious at first sight...

Thank you for your support!

Thanks for figuring that out Johannes! We'll make this split within the next couple of weeks so My Eclipse should be happy.
