Please provide more detailed steps, e.g. is the text really duplicated upon pasting?
Does it also happen in the standard text editor.

Build id?
Comment 4 Dani Megert CLA 2007-04-23 11:48:53 EDT
Can reproduce on normal text editor using 3.2.x and I20070418-1012. Works if I change the text editor font from (default) courier to System default.

Daniel,

Build id: M20070212-1330. Happens in Java editor with default and system font as well as in ther plain text editor!
Comment 6 Dani Megert CLA 2007-04-23 12:42:27 EDT
What's your system font?
Comment 7 Michael Osipov CLA 2007-04-23 12:45:16 EDT
Detailed steps:

1. editor is in attachment 1 [details] mode. just the caret set in the string.
2. pasting the indian chars, results in att 2.

The duplicate just the faulty view. That's it. the content itself is correct.
If you close and reload the file, the faulty view is gone!
Comment 8 Michael Osipov CLA 2007-04-23 12:45:42 EDT
default thru control panel in display tahoma is set. If this is what you want to know.
Comment 9 Dani Megert CLA 2007-04-23 12:51:49 EDT
Probably related to bug 27629 and bug 25691.

Felipe,

tried the 3.3M7, fails.
Tried to download the eclipse-SDK-I20070515-0800-win32.zip, the only server is a Canadian which is extremely slow. Guess, I need to wait for another server to leech.
Comment 14 Felipe Heidrich CLA 2007-05-15 16:37:06 EDT
Michael, I just released the code an hour ago - unless you are loading SWT from CVS and self-hosting there is no way to test it yet.
I'm hoping to get this in the product for tomorrow's I-build.

I can let you know what build to test if you like.
Comment 15 Michael Osipov CLA 2007-05-15 16:41:16 EDT
I'd be glad if you'd drop a msg here, I'll double check with a new build.

Kudos to the eclipse hackers here who react quite fast in contrast to mozilla or OOo. I gues, I will check how I can participate patching eclipse too. I am a Java codet too.

cheers,

Mike
