Build ID: M20070212-1330 Automatic mirror selection should select a new mirror if HTTP 403 Error is found, and never cancel the process Steps To Reproduce: 1. Configure Eclipse to automatically select mirrors 2. Update existing software using help -> Software Updates -> .. 3. Watch error message saying that mirror http://download.actuatechina.com/eclipse/tools/pdt/updates/ returns http error 403 More information: I could not finish updating Eclipse because one Eclipse mirror was giving "HTTP Error 403, Forbiden" I checked using open proxies and is not my conection error. It would be nice if Eclipse just select a new mirror or ask for a new mirror instead of canceling the long and time consuming procedure of Updating Eclipse.
Denis, should this site really be in the list of mirrors if it gives a 403?
I've contacted the site admin to fix this. I can't just yank the mirror, because most of their files are okay, and we really need all the mirrors in China that we can get :) FWIW, I think this is a dupe of bug 145235. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 145235 ***
Can be marked as duplicate, but the difference is that I ask for: "use another mirror if one fails" and bug #145235 ask for: "don't cancel the update and also use parallel download" But I'm ok to mark this bug as duplicate. Regards
