Description Wayne Beaton CLA 2007-02-20 23:20:44 EST
I'm using Web Tools 2.0M4.

When I try to start a server, I see some movement in the status bar and then nothing. No dialog box explaining the error. No messages in the console. A message does appear in the log:

--
!ENTRY org.eclipse.jst.server.tomcat.core 4 0 2007-02-20 23:10:05.343
!MESSAGE Several ports (8005, 8080, 8009) required by Tomcat v5.5 Server at localhost are already in use. The server may already be running in another process, or a system process may be using the port. To start this server you will need to stop the other process or change the port number(s).
--

With WTP 1.5.3, I get a dialog box with the above error. I haven't tested any previous versions.

Sorry, this was a regression in the platform M4 milestone - failed Jobs were never reported to the user. Once you move up to M5 builds you should see the fix.

Closing as part of mass query to clean up old resolved bugs in untargetted milestones.
