Description bazzoola CLA 2007-02-12 19:41:39 EST
The built in eclipse comparator uses the last modified timestamp to find differences between incoming/outgoing changes. I mount my remote project files using SMB and sshfs on two different workstations MS Windows XP SP2 and Mac OS X Tiger.
_Some_ of the files in that project report different "last modified" date/time which is causing eclipse to think that the files are different when they arent.
for example I have a file that is called fix_priv.sh
using command prompt under XP I get:
09/07/2006  10:15 AM               149 fix_priv.sh
using ssh I get:
-rw-------    1 asd1815  grad              149 Sep  7 10:15 fix_priv.sh
using eclipse under Windows I get:
September 7, 2006 11:15:19 AM
using eclipse under Mac OS X I get:
September 7, 2006 10:15:19 AM

Note that the date and time are different on Windows.
If I checkout that project from a windows client the date/time would be invalid on my Mac and vice versa.

Thanks,

Bazzoola
