With in place submit working we need to return the editor state to where it was upon submit being pressed.
-Sections folded /unfolded as necessary
-Focus
-Scrolled state

Can do this post 3.0 as long as we take this into account when refactoring the editor.

Rob, I was planning to expand the attributes and comments that were changed by the user. Would that address your requirements?

Please consider also doing the same enhancement for task update. It is really annoying sometimes to open back all collapsed sections.
