Description Andrew Overholt CLA 2007-01-16 12:01:43 EST
It would be nice if already opened remote tasks could be added to the task list without going through the Ctrl-Shift-F12 rigamarol (sp?).
Comment 1 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-01-16 12:16:26 EST
BTW, how did you opened that task?

It seems like task editor don't have several menu items when it shows repository task that don't have local task (attach file, open in browser, move to..., etc).

I don't know what you mean. Do you mean how did I open *this* task? I did it through the web browser 'cause I didn't have Eclipse running ATM.

So, you are suggesting to improve the drag-n-drop from the web browser into the Task List?

PS: does ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine? :-)

While that would be nice, I mean it should be easier to add an already open repository task to your task list. If you haven't opened the task through a query or something, that is. Something like:

1. Ctrl-Shift-F12
2. Enter bug #
3. Pick repository
4. Open report
5. "Darn, I forgot to hit the 'Add to my list' button!"
6. "Oh, I can just hit this friendly 'Add to my list' button from the open report - sweet!"
7. :)

> PS: does ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine? :-)

Haha. Yes, it does, but I meant the "at the moment" usage.
Comment 5 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2007-01-16 16:35:07 EST
Right. We should make "Move to..." action work. Maybe rename it to "Add/Move to..."
Comment 6 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-01-19 14:02:37 EST
Yes, we need to add this action. The other common case is where you opened the editor by navigating through Search hits, and want to add it to the Task List. Setting for 2.0. If anyone is interested in providing a patch in the next couple of weeks we can get it into 2.0M1.

*** Bug 170691 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 8 Steffen Pingel CLA 2007-01-29 21:19:17 EST
We should consider adding a Copy to menu and disabling the Move to menu in case of query hits, editors and search results.
Comment 9 Mik Kersten CLA 2007-02-16 22:28:29 EST
There is now a context menu that allows remote tasks to be added tot he Task List.
