Steps To Reproduce:
When I am editing a java file (in java perspective) and use the mouse right click menu to "Compare with" -> "Latest from head" I previously was ask to switch to synchronize perspective, and the the difference opened automatic. Now I am just asked to switch to the synchronize perspective. Then  I have manually to click the (single) file in the synchronize tree.
