Steps To Reproduce:
1. Install Eclipse 3.2.1 on MacOS X (or install 3.2.0 and upgrade to 3.2.1 via update manager)

2. Accept automatic update of 2 new patches

3. On every eclipse startup, Eclipse 3.2.1 is offered as an "update".  Accepting the update appears to be successful, but then Eclipse restarts and offers the update again.

Changing OS from Mac OS to Mac OS X as per bug 185991
