Description Justin Chen CLA 2006-12-01 13:15:27 EST
Currently, Oracle has an OC4J 10.1.3 server adapter.

Oracle would like to add a new server adapter in WTP 1.5.3 for OC4J 10.1.3.1 which supports Java persistence and EJB3 development.

Please review the request. Thanks.

Hi Justin,

Are you proposing a new adapter, or can the existing adapter be updated to support both versions of the server? A new adapter may be an issue because AFAIK there is supposed to be no UI changes or strings that would affect translation in 1.5.3.

Thanks Tim,

The plan is to update existing OC4J server adapter to support both versions.
However, there will be two separate serverdef files and additional UI strings in plugin.properties. That might be an issue for translation in 1.5.3.

Patch to enable OC4J 10.1.3.1 support in WTP 2.0 stream

Attached OC4J generic server adapter patch is for WTP 2.0 M4 build next week.
I can log a new bug for WTP 2.0 if it is preferred.
Otherwise, Gorkem, could you please take this patch and integrate for WTP 2.0 M4 build. Thanks.

Seems like that there is plan change for the request.
Please confirm with Raghunathan Srinivasan and see if this bug can be closed.

Given the restriction on adding new strings, we would move this to WTP 2.0. I am changing the target to 2.0M4 as a request for you to consider.

released to 2.0 stream, I have not been able to test it because I did not have the appropriate version. Justin can you please confirm the patch on the next build.

Gorkem, thank you for releasing the patch into 2.0.
I will confirm the patch after it is in the build.
