I noticed that a user can un-select the current context such that no context is selected, and can open files. It might be handy to have this as a "scratch / default" context where a user can use it to quickly view files and look at another context (basically make it a task that doesn't show up in the Task List, can't be explicitly selected, and has no description, due date, etc.). As it stands right now the files open in when no context is selected are closed when a context is subsequently selected (which can be frustrating when you forget). This might also be handy for new users as well so they aren't in shock and confusion when they switch to a context for the first time and all of the files they have open are suddenly closed. In addition, this could be useful so users could copy the default context to a new context if they forget to create a context before they start their work. Thanks, Jim
There is an issue for this already. See bug 146125
Jim: please make sure that your use case is clearly described on the bug that Eugene is referring to? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 146125 ***
Thanks for asking me to look at it again Mik. After looking at it again, it may not really be a duplicate, and is much simpler in nature. The use case I'm thinking of is as follows: 1. User opens up a file while no context is selected. The file is added to the "default context" context. 2. User selects a context and it is loaded. 3. User un-selects the previously selected context and the files are unloaded, the files for the "default context" are then reloaded. I think that about covers it. Thanks, Jim
