I'm using a shared .mylar data directory.

I colored a task and switched workspaces, but the same task in the other workspace didn't have the coloring.

Yes, that's correct, the coloring is currently a workspace setting along with the other Task List settings (but not Task List state).  We'll need to figure a better split as part of figuring out our multiple workspace story.
