Hello, thank you for great product liek Eclipse is. However I'm experiencing one little annoying issue. At work I am behind proxy, at home I am not. Sometimes I forget to check proxy settings in Eclipse and try to install new feature. But when in work and proxy is off it hangs forever (actually it does not hang, but this I found out now when I meanwhile create bugzilla account, waited for email and half filled this bug), even when I hit CANCEL. Is there anything we can do about it? I'm running 3.2.1 but this issue is here across several versions. Best regards,
This looks like a platform-update issue. -M.
I may be wrong, but it seems it has to do with NTLM authentication. If I use a connection to a NTLM-based proxy, then Eclipse hangs, but if I use NTLMAPS (that does not need authentication) it is still slow, but, at least, id does not hang.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I experienced this bug under Windows XP too.

This problem appears in Eclipse Europa too.
