For my update site at http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/updates, I have manually defined download-size and install-size for all plugins.

Still, Update Manager shows size="unknown" for all features; on the feature properties dialog, no size information is shown at all. I noticed that as soon as I remove the digest.zip from my site, the feature sizes are shown ok.

I consider this a major issue, since Callisto and Europa requests projects to do site digesting on their update sites; and they request sites to provide install sizes. These requests are useless if UM doesnt show the sizes correctly.

The Eclipse Update component is no longer under development, and no longer exists in the Eclipse Platform 4.x stream. If this problem still occurs in Eclipse Platform 4.2 or later, please enter a new bug report against Equinox p2.
