Description Mandy Habinski CLA 2006-10-03 10:09:05 EDT
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start WebSphere Integration Developer 6.0.1.2IFix003, Help->Sample Gallery;
2) In Content column, expand "Application samples"->Business Integration;
select "Loan application";
3) Click "Import" in Loan Application, accept all default options;
4) Once the application import is finished, right-click on a interface, select "Open
With->In-place Editor" from the context menu;

Problem:
An OLE Execption occurred with reason "OLE Error Opening". An empty editor with the
interface name will be open, but the content is blank.

You are not trying ot open with Interface Editor,
so it is not the right component for this bug.

The error appears trying to open any artifact,
not just interfaces and not just from this project.
WID or even Eclipse have very little to do here.

I think the bug can be opened against Eclipse
to produce a better error message, but they
have not much more information either.
"Class ID not found in registry".

This is a generic issue with using the "Open With > In-Place Editor" on a file that doesn not have an OLE editor registered.
