php editor is VERY slow with large files. more lines = slower editor. it is almost impossible to work with files larger than 1000 lines...

It seems like a specific problem.  
Please provide an example file where you see the slowness.

many efforts were performed to ensure that large files reparsed in a "smart" 
way.
as Eden noted, if you have a problem we should see an example + we need to know 
your computer configuration. 

This is mandatory to reproduce your issue.

I close this bug since it is duplicate of a known issue #149404 - it happens on 
files that include long array definition.
I hope we will resolve this bug soon.
