Description Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2006-07-30 08:13:26 EDT
I think it has been discussed, but can't find report about it now.

When I create attachment and submission fail (e.g. due to "midair collision" error) I have to close editor and will loose all the comments typed in for this attachment. Not sure why, but synchronizing that issue does not work (perhaps a separate issues).

So, I think all the attachments should be immediately added to attachment table and it should be possible to open editing wizard that should allow to edit or at least copy entered comments.

Saving attachment data offline: bug#149210
Comment 2 Robert Elves CLA 2006-08-09 18:08:29 EDT
This appears to be a non-issue now that attachments are sent immediately.
Comment 3 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2006-08-09 22:51:16 EDT
Hmm. I am still concerned with this "in wizard" comment and attachment submission...
Comment 4 Robert Elves CLA 2006-08-10 12:23:00 EDT
I'm also concerned about the different 'modes' of operation within the task editor. The problem as I see it is that we're blurring the line between editor and view interaction. Editors should have an open-modify-save (submit) life cycle whereas changes to views are immediate. With the recent wizard attachment submission this breaks the cycle. I think that once I get editor input swapping working we may want to re-examine the attachment interaction and make it part of the regular editor life cycle.
