It would be nice if PHP-IDE could support php unit testing using one of the available frameworks like PHPUnit/PHPUnit2 with the addition of a dedicated launch configuration and test progress view like the one available for JUnit testing.

could the Eclipse plugin for SimpleTest be a starting point? seems to strive to cover both the PHPUnit and SimpleTest frameworks
