Description Mik Kersten CLA 2006-06-19 18:08:09 EDT
Currently we have the Make Less Interesting action, which provides the ability to indicate that elements are not interesting but does not remove them from the context. It may be desirable to have a mechanism for removing them from the context, e.g. if they are not to be shared with others. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:
- purge all elements with a negative interest from the context
- make the Make Less Interest action remove things from the context

"Make less interesting" can be selective. E.g. remove elements from context when they belong to the project which is not part of the context.

PS: non-working Ctrl-Backspace gets really annoying...

We need to avoid making things be smart in that way unless it is completely obvious, and I don't think that one is obvious enough. Also, it is rare for something to be interesting if the thing that contains it is not interesting, since it wouldn't show up in a hierarchy view like that Package Explorer.

By Ctrl+Backspace I assume you mean the odd behavior in the bug editor, right? It has been bugging me too...

Done. The Context editor has a remove context menu action (bug 107259, will be described in New & Noteworthy).
