It was great to be able to create a new project from an existing Ant build script, but it did not work exactly as expected. Primarily, the build.xml file source was copied to the project directory under $HOME/eclipse. This is not good for a couple of reasons. First, if I wanted to change the file, then it would be changing the copy, and not the original source. More importantly, it breaks the <import> tag that I had in build.xml, which was a relative path. Now, Ant can not find the file to import. Probably the same problem exists with other relative paths as well. You need to be able to link the build.xml file to the original source. I would be okay with making that an option to the import.
Thank you for the bug report. I agree this should be looked at in 3.3, time permitting. Related bug reports: bug 143973 and bug 108923.
Not planned for 3.3.
Reconsidered with review of work required and impact. Planning to include for 3.3M6

Support added to link to the buildfile in the filesystem from the AntNewJavaProjectPage. NLS changes to DataTransferMessages files.
Please verify Michael (others would be great as well)
