Description Dennis Simpson CLA 2006-05-24 14:31:56 EDT
I saw this in other bug reports, and wanted to add I'm seeing it also. Just downloaded the 3.1.2 all-in-one zip. (5/24/2006)

After clicking the license agreement checkbox, and hitting Finish, it starts to download. Some times the TCP/IP stack fails immediately, sometimes at various points along the way. But the update always fails because of a timeout.

One cannot ping the PC when the TCP stack is dead, and the box cannot ping anything else or do anyting on the network. TCP/IP has stoppped.

But once I hit cancel, after a while and the cancel dialog goes away, about a minute or so later, sometimes TCP starts working again all by itself. If I exit Eclipse, the TCP always comes back immediately.

I did not see a memory leak/growing memory or paging.

Windows XP pro, 1 Gb RAM. Lots of disk space. Norton Antivirus 2006. Turning off/on Norton's internet worm detection did not help.
