following feedback from various folks that tried to familiarize themselves with the Eclipse project I propose that we create an 'Orientation Section'. The orientation section gives
a) a brief overview over the Eclipse Project
b) a brief overview over the typical usage
c) some hints where to go next

Examples: 
  Apache FAQ
  PHP Intro

Perhaps this Orientation section could be hosted on the Wiki?  Everyone could contribute to it.

Sounds like a good idea!

We just need to have a reference to it on the main page, so that new folks can easily find to it.

I'm sure that can be arranged.  Let's wait for a page to have a good amount of content.  Are you going to get the ball rolling?
