Description amehrega CLA 2006-05-03 11:40:10 EDT
I've noticed that when I profile to a file, the process id, agent id, and trace id are missing. As a result, the file can't be imported to the workbench.

I have attached the trace file generated. Also, the timestamps reported for the node and the processCreate elements seem to be incorrect.

The timestamps reported for the node and the processCreate elements should be fixed.

The process id, agent id, and trace id are missing because the agent framework does not provide this information to profiler. See #130597. Guru suggested do not populate these attributes in controlled and enabled modes. I'm reassigning this bug to Guru for further evaluation.
Comment 3 Guru Nagarajan CLA 2006-05-03 13:00:47 EDT
It was my understanding that the TaceID, AgentID and ProcessID were populated by the client in case of the controlled mode. I stand corrected on this.

Slava,
Please add the trace elements to the XML output.

The profiler populates the process id, agent id, and trace id with generated UUIDs in all modes. This is workaround until the bug 130597 is fixed.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
