Description Gregor Rosenauer CLA 2006-04-26 06:11:17 EDT
On a fresh install of Eclipse 3.2RC1a, the Update-feature is unusable:

1. go to Help->Updates->Find and Install...
2. click "search for new features"
3. select the Callisto-update site (the Eclipse update site gives me an error: "no features found on the selected update site(s)[...]")
4. select *any* package, I tried with those in the category "models and model development", e.g. "EMF 2.2.0.v200604200629"
5. the selected packages are validated successfully
6. in the next screen, accept the license agreement
7. now, in the final dialog, the selection is shown, but "free space" is "unknown" and the button "Finish" is greyed out! The location is valid, and there is over 4GB free on the destination ("/Applications/eclipse") - I can only cancel

Between each step, there is a *huge* delay, which may be related to the fact that I am behind a proxy on WLAN (802.11g), though other net-activities are very fast.

I also tried different mirrors, and the main site, same problem.

I am using MacOS X 10.4.6 with Java 2 Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-103) and Java HotSpot Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-57, mixed mode, sharing).
