Description Beat Schaller CLA 2006-04-26 03:42:44 EDT
I have installed the latest version of eclipse (3.2RC1a). When i am using code completion the UI hangs for ~ 30 sec. When i try to navigate in the dialog this 'hang' repeats. I've tryied out to remove all additional plugins and i also used a new workspace - no result.
To work without code completion is possible but not really funny!

Any idea?

Note: for better performance either
- attach the source to the JARs
- donwload the Javadoc and attach this local doc to the JARs

Can be that it works better with attachement of the source and javadoc local. But this behavior started with M4. The version M3 worked correctly without doing all this stuff.

Oh well, but M3 was not capable of using attached Javadoc at all.

Ok. Now i could resolve the problem. It's what you said the attachement of the source/javadoc. Without all above the IDE hangs! Our IT service installed java 1.5 JRE (!!!). If i configure my Java SDK installation as installed JRE all is attached and works fine.

Simply switch to latest N-build it has pretty good quality since we're working towards RC2.
