Description Simon Archer CLA 2006-04-24 16:57:51 EDT
Using Eclipse 3.2 RC1

I have built a feature project, an update site project and have built the update site. When I use the update manager to try and install my new feature I get a dialog titled "Update Manager", with a progress bar, and the job in progress is labelled "Initializing...".

This is very curious, since the dialog never seems to go away on its own and it stays at 2%. But, there is a "Run in Background" button, which if clicked does allow me to proceed with the install.

It just seems to me that it should be unnecessary to click the "Run in Background" button, but it seems that it is necessary, otherwise the update gets blocked indefinitely.
