Description Sean Montgomery CLA 2006-04-02 21:03:38 EDT
Eclipse 3.2M6 on OS X 10.4.5, dual monitor setup described in bug 95616, comments 0 and 1 (two monitors, left & right, right is primary).

Hover mouse over a method's name in a method declaration with a Javadoc comment:

- On the right monitor the popup usually appears one line below and just to the right of the first character of the method's name - I'm assuming that's the intent. The exception to this case occurs when the mouse hovers over the last character of the method name - then the popup appears one line below and to the right of the last character of the method's name.

- On the left monitor the popup always shows up five lines above the method's name. Horizontally it appears just to the right of the first character of the method's name, unless the mouse position is just to the right of the last character of the name (not over it, as is the case on the right monitor), in which case it appears to the right of the last character of the method's name.
