Team > "Show the file author in compare editor" does not work

Steps to reproduce:
1. check the checkbox
2. select a shared file
3. Team > Compare With > Another Branch or Version...
==> cannot find any author information in the compare editor.

There is now a Team setting for this. We'll need to remove the CVS setting and us the Team setting in all approriate places.

I don't know which steps and version you used (which ones?) but for me using N20060425-0010 on Windows XP with the steps from comment 0:

1. check Window > Preferences > Team > "Show the file author in compare editor"
2. select a shared file
3. Team > Compare With > Another Branch or Version...
==> cannot find any author information in the compare editor

Editors opened from the sync view will have the author. I have verified that the steps you provided fail. I have also verified that this is not a regression from 3.1 (i.e. they fail in 3.1 as well). The fix for this is not trivial so I am deferring to 3.3.

Not true as well. Filed bug 138853 to possibly consider for 3.2.
