From some discussion on cross-project mailing list, it appears a couple of files for /updates have not been mirrored to OSU mirror (not sure of others). We've both tried "touches" ... roughly 20 hours ago ... so, we're wondering 1) what's wrong, how can *we* fix, if 'touch' doesn't work? Here's excpert from mail list. Looking at the plugins folder on OSU, I notice there are actually two plugins missing. The other is org.eclipse.wst.html.core_1.1.0… Both of them were changed today. I’m not sure what triggers the sync at OSU, possibly they only run once a day. So maybe tomorrow will be a better day… Doug Schaefer, QNX Software Systems Eclipse CDT Project Lead, http://cdtdoug.blogspot.com From: cross-project-issues-dev-bounces@eclipse.org [mailto:cross-project-issues-dev-bounces@eclipse.org] On Behalf Of Doug Schaefer Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 4:47 PM To: Cross project issues Subject: RE: [cross-project-issues-dev] Notes and screenshots of install p roblems Just to add to the mayhem, I think I’m seeing two separate problems. 1. The random failures when using eclipse.org. The infamous 403’s. 2. A consistent failure using the OSU mirror. An infamous 404 on org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.emitter.html_2.1.0…..
If you look hard enough, you will notice that *every* mirror has a problem. Mirrors are a minor issue for us, simply because we have no control over them. If one mirror misbehaves often, we simply pull them off the list. I've noted one strike for OSU. If they get three strikes, I'll pull them off. D.
reopening to better categorize as fixed.
