Description James Moody CLA 2002-04-09 13:18:05 EDT
Problems with the tag configuration dialog:

1. The "Browse and Select Files in which to look for tags:" label is too wide
for its corresponding table, which results in it overwriting part of the label
to the right of it. (Resizing the dialog fixes this). It should be big enough by
default. (Linux only)

2. The "Remove" button at the bottom of the dialog is cut off on the bottom.
(Linux only)

3. Typo: "When refreshing tags the following remote files with be examined"
(should be "will be examined").

4. The list box at the bottom is very wide but not very high. It only holds two
items, then scrollbars appear. It's not very useful at its default size.

5. The "When refreshing tags..." label wraps too soon. It should be as wide as
the list box below it.

6. Replace "select the subset of tags that you want remembered" with "select the
tags that you want remembered".

7. "Remembered Tags" should be "Remembered tags". We don't capitalize Tags
anywhere else in the dialog (Except in buttons, where they should be capitalized).

Other problem:

If you set you system properties to use Windows Standard Extra Large the bottom
widgets of the Configure Tags Dialog is cut off.

STEPS
1) Select Properties ->Appearance from the OS
2) Select Windows Standard (Extra Large)
3) Open the Configure Tags dialog

If you open the configure tags dialog in Linux the second label at the top is
cut off and the bottom widgets are cut off.

You can easily lose focus on the widget you are working with in the Configure
Tags dialog as other dialogs pp up frequently from it and end up giving random
focus.

If you select Remove from the Remembered Tags list you end up getting a button
selected after your selection is removed.
If you navigate the Browse Files list the tags are periodically updates but the
widget loses focus afterwards

Comment 10 Jean-Michel Lemieux CLA 2002-04-26 10:05:47 EDT
The "Configure Tags" menu in the repo view should maybe be called "Discover
Tags", since you are not configuring tags.

Also (likely existing bug report), "Define Tags" should be "Add Tag to List" or
something - define implies something deeper like defining them on the server,
which are not.

Comment 11 Jean-Michel Lemieux CLA 2002-05-08 20:28:24 EDT
Fixed. Linux problems are addressed by saving the resize settings for the dialog.
