Reported by Eugene, due to both the Mylar and JDT computers being used. Eugene: do you always use this? If not, when do you use it? Just curious because Mylar doesn't add the separator for that.
This appears to be a JDT bug that will require further investigation to pinpoint and report. Our computer's are not being invoked, but their presence somehow causes the duplicates.
Still waiting on JDT bug.
Still waiting on JDT bug 147781.
Bug 147781 is no longer on the 3.3 plan, so I updated the FAQ with this limitation: http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylar_FAQ#Content_assist_troubleshooting If you would like this bug fixed please vote for bug 147781
I wonder if this should be brought up to the cross project list?
Yes, I do plan on bringing up as a cross-project issue if bug 147781 is not scheduled for 3.4 when JDT/Text plans their next release.
Strange that I didn't mention that this hit me every time I do SWT work, namely when I need to look which params is x and which one is y value, i.e. in GridData, Rectangle and many other chasses. Now I have to search matching method from the drop down and manually count params. Without Mylyn proposals it is much easier, since selected param is highlighted with bold.
I also experience this problem. As far as I know from my company all my colleagues also have the problem. Probably they only did not yet report it or did not find this page.
Eugene: are you still happening now that bug 147781 is fixed?
Created attachment 89916 [details] duplicate entries Apparently yes. I haven't spent much time on investigating, but here is an example of Ctrl-Shift-Space infopop that have those duplicated entries.
Fixed as part of bug 233879, which now ensure that Mylyn detects if Java proposals are enabled, and suppresses it's own proposals if the default ones are enabled.
