Xerces 2.8.0 (change from 2.7.1 version). I did submit a "contribution questionnairre" (if that goes anywhere) noting we currently ship Xerces 2.7.1, and are planning to ship Xerces 2.8.0, so only a "minor addition". The license will stay the same ... Apache License, Version 2.0. http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0 This is almost entirely bug fixes, be a few minor new features from a programming point of view: * Start schema assessment from a specific type definition * Features for disabling ID/IDREF, unparsed entity and identity constraint checking * Enhancements to XML Schema annotation support * Support the warn-on-undeclared-elemdef feature which has been missing for many releases * Other misc. features, improvements and bug fixes
Created attachment 35385 [details] form info sent to Eclipse.org No new information in this form ... I'm attaching it just to record, that the form was submitted, in case that's needed.

Axis 1.3 - Currently out to the Board for approval. Xerces 2.8.0 Contribution Questionnaire received. Although a minor version change a full due diligence review is required as the current tool does not permit incremental review. A tool that will be licensed in shortly will eliminate this problem. WSIL - I am seeking clarification of the license that the material is being submitted under.
Contribution questionnaire submitted for the Java EE Schemas and DTDs.
Tim, can you clarify if its 1.7 or 1.7.x of Cactus that's planned? As far as I could tell, its not actually in our distribution, currently? Just to document it here, we should avoid 1.7.1, but 1.7 or 1.7.2 would presumably be ok. See Appache News, quoted in paste below: http://www.apachenews.org/archives/000840.html = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = The Jakarta Cactus project is pleased to announce the release of version 1.7.2. Cactus is a unit testing framework for testing server side java code. Goals ----- This release was created just because the previous 1.7.x releases have bundled an LGPL jar (jboss-j2ee.jar, necessary to run the samples), which is not allowed by ASF policies. Other than that, the only technical change is a new feature on the Maven plugin (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CACTUS-231).
Cactus version # is 1.7.
(In reply to comment #10) > Cactus version # is 1.7. > Sorry to contradict you, Tim, and sorry I didn't know about another bug where the jars are attached, but bug 104622 has the "catus jars" attached for inclusion in a plugin, and from inspecting that zip, it appears to be version 1.7.2. See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=37247 So, I think we are fine (that is, it is not 1.7.1).
Created attachment 39005 [details] History, references, and links concering equinox servlet api bundle This is the backround, refernces, and plans for re-shipping 3rd party code that is part of another Eclipse proeject (Equinox). I've added a short addition to our IP Log in CVS (eventually to display on the web), but thought I'd include full backround and details here, if ever needed.
