Description Daniel Friederich CLA 2006-01-31 11:03:54 EST
The currently recommended WinCvs client on Windows does propose a CVSROOT format which is not understood by the cvs eclipse plugins.
When entering the user name, server, serverpath in the WinCVS GUI, WinCVS generates the following CVSROOT:

:pserver;username=dfriederich;hostname=cvsserver.whatever.com:/path

This format however is not understood by eclipse, which expects the traditional
:pserver:dfriederich@cvsserver.whatever.com:/path
format only.

As WinCVS is very commonly used on Windows, I guess this incompatibility will shop up more often.
The workaround is to patch all Root files in all CVS subdirectories.
