Description Karla Callaghan CLA 2006-01-24 20:20:22 EST
The RAC and AC have differences in where configuration info is obtained, in creating the configuration file, and in what gets packaged where. Need to handle the differences (in scripts, installation) hiding as much as possible from the user.

The more I've uncovered, the more I've found that needs doing. After documenting, publishing, getting some feedback, and refining the proposal, implementation is going well for the SetConfig changes, but still actively refining the proposal of the broader scope. Still have building/packaging to do... about 2.5 days work left.

Checking in SetConfig changes that allow us to build our serviceconfig.xml file or the RAC's with the same xml generation utility.

Changes appear to bring the two packages into alignment. Thus, marking this as fixed. There are still documentation issues that need to be resolved to make the documentation actually reflect this reality; I'll open a new bug for that.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
