Description Marc Lehmann CLA 2006-01-16 05:03:44 EST
Bundle names with an underline character belonging to the bundle version information seem to cause problems during bundle resolution. E.g. I see the following message in the Product Configuration dialog (show properties/status):
Plug-in: "org.apache.xerces" version: "2.7.0.v20060112-0830" referenced by this feature is not included at runtime. Runtime includes plug-in version "2.7.0.v20060112_0830" supplied by feature "org.apache.xerces.feature" version "2.7.0.v20060112-0830".
To overcome this (potential) issue I have to edit all manifest.mf of all respective plug-ins, replacing '_' by '-'. This is a little bit annoying as more and more plug-ins following this naming scheme for the bundle version.

See also bug 123394.

Moving to Platform->Runtime to see if anyone on the runtime team knows why the '-' in the version qualifier is replaced by an '_'. Is update doing this?

Forgot to reassign to platform-runtime-inbox. Please see comment 1.
