To reproduce, follow the instructions below: - Start the RAC on AS400 - Launch StartStop (located in /home/testrnq/classes on toras1cb) 6 or 7 times - The RAC stops sending responses back to the client for the 4th or 5th run and the application is never profiled properly. A terminated agent shows up without any data. The application is never launched on the remote machine. - The RAC doesn't send any responses back to the client (i.e. none of the process launched, agent active/inactive, process terminated responses are sent back to the client side) Our test cases do not provide coverage for this use case. Please reassign bug to Samson.

Not containable in 4.3 and retarget to 4.4. Please let me know if you have any concern.

I also see problems trying this case on Windows XP. If I launch 5-6 instances of StartStop there will often be one that is stuck in state <monitoring> profiling but no start time and no progress (console never produces first expected prompts. I have managed to sometimes get the error: IWAT0004W Problems occurred while launching the java process Reason: Profiler unable to establish connection with Agent Controller via ShareMemory. ReturnCode from attempt is -3 This results from setting up the first profile launch for StartStop and then quickly clicking 5 or 6 times on the profile icon. After getting this error there are successfull launches without restarting the ac.
I was also able to reproduce this on Windows. I had to run multiple profiling sessions quickly. I believe this error is from the JVMPI agent. Setting target milestone to '--' so it can be triaged.

As of TPTP 4.6.0, TPTP is in maintenance mode and focusing on improving quality by resolving relevant enhancements/defects and increasing test coverage through test creation, automation, Build Verification Tests (BVTs), and expanded run-time execution. As part of the TPTP Bugzilla housecleaning process (see http://wiki.eclipse.org/Bugzilla_Housecleaning_Processes), this enhancement/defect is verified/closed by the Project Lead since this enhancement/defect has been resolved and unverified for more than 1 year and considered to be fixed. If this enhancement/defect is still unresolved and reproducible in the latest TPTP release (http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/), please re-open.
