Description Kaj Kandler CLA 2005-11-30 16:03:06 EST
Hi there,
I hope I'm not producing a duplicate bug report.

When I run Eclipse (3.0 or 3.1 or 3.1.1) and open the Help Window, two Eclipse tasks are visible in the Windows XP taskbar (on the bottom of the screen where you see the currently running applications/processes). If that taskbar is crowded with many more applications and tries to save screen real estate by grouping the icons of the same application (like the outlook main window with an open e-mail and an e-mail in edit), in the eclipse case the icon for the group is a blank (default) window, rather than the blue eclipse sphere. If I open the menu, the two running (Help and the IDE) show the correct icons.

This off course makes it a bit harder to find the Eclipse app.

Kind regards

K<o>

I think this is a general problem of applications being executed with java.exe/javaw.exe on windows.

Not much we can do about this as long as we launch javaw.exe in a separate process rather than starting the VM within our own .EXE.
