Description Geert Poels CLA 2005-11-03 13:27:32 EST
From an ergonomic/user point of view, it's strange behaviour to allow a user
to launch a run/debug session of a closed project. Only to immediately show
an error dialog stating "Launch configuration X references closed project
Y".

It would be better to disable it right away in the run/debug configuration
comboboxes.
(or to at least feature an icon besides its name).

As a user might want to access its information, this would still be possible
by clicking the general 'Run.../Debug...'.

PS : If the Eclipse UI team would decide to nevertheless keep this way of
working, than maybe the 'details' button of this error dialog should be
enabled => upon a click, that particular run/debug configuration should be
opened to allow a user to switch projects. Maybe a third button could be
added : "Open project".
