Description Arthur Ryman CLA 2005-11-01 10:31:44 EST
Please include the login id of the committer in the CVS commit email
notifications. My project, WTP, needs this so we can correlate the CVS commits
with bugs that have attachments as required by the IP Log Process.

If I toss the userid in the subject line, like this:

droy www/webmaster test.txt

Would this satisfy your requirement?

Denis,

If I understand your proposal, you are suggesting to use the Eclipse user id,
which is what CVS knows about, not the Bugzilla user id which is the email address.

If that is correct, then yes, that would work. We just need a way to identify
the committer.

BTW, is there a query we can make to get the list of committers for a project? Thx.

Yes, the Eclipse userid to match the commit history in the RCS file itself.

I've applied this to just about every repository that was using this notification.
