Needs to support: - standard JDK 1.5 build - retroweaver-based JDK 1.4 build
This would be nice, but the PDE build process has been sufficient so far.
I realize this was written for eclipse 3.0, but: http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-PDE-Automation/automation.html
Modeling has a good process, we should consider reusing it if possible and bugging Nick Boldt if not ;) -----Original Message----- From: Nick Boldt [mailto:codeslave@ca.ibm.com] Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2007 8:11 AM To: mik@tasktop.com Cc: 'Doug Schaefer'; Ed Merks; pombredanne@gmail.com; 'Robert Elves'; 'Tools PMC mailing list'; 'Eclipse WebMaster (Denis Roy)' Subject: The Modeling Releng story (was RE: [tools-pmc] Suggestion for some CVS cleanup in tools) Mik: The Modeling release engineering story is here [1], though there are no Book of Modeling quotes [2] there yet: [1]http://wiki.eclipse.org/Modeling_Project_Releng [2]http://home.pacific.net.au/~drjon/mozilla.html, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_of_Mozilla One of these days I'll post screenshots so you can see what the web UI looks like for running, testing and promoting builds.
