Updatemanager does report errors, but the statements are contradictory. See errormessage below: Current configuration contains errors that are not corrected by the requested operation and more errors would be introduced. Incorrect messages are causing a lot of problems with Customer. They see a message like XYZ (10.0) requires XYZ(2.1.0), when it should be XYZ(10.0) requires EMF(2.1.0).

I have noticed this same problem in 3.2 (3.2.0 M20060629-1905). Was the fix only made to 3.1.1 and not in 3.2?
