Description Dominik Skorka CLA 2005-08-03 03:06:19 EDT
In Synchronize perpective I get a list of incoming/outgoing etc. files. That is
fine. Usually just after my set of files have been successfully commited I put a
label on them. But I have not been able to find out an easy way to do it by
means of Synchronize perpective (and any other one), because every time I commit
something it disappears from the view. So, later I have to seek the commited
files once again and then put a label on them.

Briefly. I would like to synchronize my files with CVS repository, commit and
put a label on them without putting much effort into this. All this I can
imagine in Synchronize perpective.

I do not know, I just could not find the way to stop my files disappearing from
the view :-)

I am really not interested in having additional "put a tag" feature on the
commit dialog (as it is being discussed in bug #44923). If the commited files
stayed on the view I would be able to label them with any (different) tags on
the spot.

I have a workaround that I use for this problem.

Highlight all of the files that you will later want to commit in the
synchronize navigator, and choose Navigate -> Show In -> Navigator from the
menu bar. This will select the same set of files in the navigator. After you
commit (and they all disappear from the synchronize navigator), they are still
selected in the Navigator, and you can tag them from the Team menu there.
