Description Emil T CLA 2005-07-05 16:44:59 EDT
The FTP plugin doesn't work across sessions because the username/password isn't
loaded when it should. This causes unexpected behaviour and error messages,
with no option of re-entering the login information.

Reproduce like this:
 1. Create a new FTP site.
 2. Restart Eclipse.
 3. Try to use the previously created site and watch the error message (503 if
I remember correctly.)

Proposed fix

The login information is already saved in the .keyfile. This patch just loads
it when the rest of the FTP site information is loaded.

Compiled jarfile of the patch

This is the compiled jarfile for the patched file listed below.
You can put this file in the eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.target.ftp_1.0.0\
directory of your Eclipse implementation.
The jarfile was compiled in a win32 OS.
Make sure to backup the old .jar file first.

I search for the fix on cvs, and is not updated with the fix, any posibility to fix webdav too, and update cvs modules, also to attach compiled jars for eclipse 3.1 for ftp and webdav, This plugin is not currently functional in current Eclipse.
Best Regards

The problem has been fixed in 3.2. The FTP/WebDAV support is not supported and there is no plan to provided patches for previous releases.
