Description Chris Long CLA 2005-06-27 15:10:05 EDT
I sometimes modify files outside Eclipse and then I have to remember to sync my
filesystem view before I can sync with CVS (in the Team Sync perspective).

This seems unnecessary; Eclipse can tell what is out of sync and should give me
a button in the "Synchronizing CVS" dialog that lets met tell it to sync with
the filesystem and redo the CVS sync, instead of just "Ok" and "Details". I
think there should be an option to automatically do this and not even have to
ask (unless I had unsaved changes in an editor buffer), but just having a button
on this dialog would be a help from the way it is now.

This is related to issue #58964
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=58964), but it wasn't clear from
the fixed message how it was being fixed, and it says fixed in 3.0M9 and what
I'm requesting is not in 3.1, so I'm assuming that whatever the fix for that bug
was, it didn't include my request.

Thanks! I didn't find that bug when I searched because I only looked in the Team
component, and not in CVS, too.
